Booking Policy
50% deposit of the total value is required for the reservation. The remaining 50% have to be paid on the arrival day. Your reservation is only valid and guaranteed after confirmation of the deposit payment. In case of bank transfer you must send a print screen or proof of transaction per email. Cancellation Policy
After the confirmation is made we will accept the cancellation under the following terms
- Until 30 days prior to arrival we will refund the total of the deposit
- After 30 days prior to arrival we will not make any refund of the deposit. You will have a credit of the deposit value at the GWSL to use for one year from the date of payment
- Upon arrival and during your stay we will not make any refund
Any changes of your reservation after it has been confirmed are always subject to our confirmation and availability.
Accommodation Policy
The GWSL is a self-catering lodging and therefore you are responsible for keeping the kitchen and common areas clean, undamaged and ready for others to use. For any damage caused to equipment or ignoring the house rules you will be held responsible and GWSL holds the right to refuse accommodation.

- Guests staying in shared room are expected to use only their bed
- Return your room and house key at check-out
Transfer Policy
If you have booked our transfer service from/to Porto Airport, it must be confirmed by GWSL with arrival time, number of passengers and telephone number.
The cancellation of a transfer must be done until 12 hours before arrival. Otherwise we do not refund. The transportation can be refused by the GWSL driver in the case of intoxication or aggressive behavior of the client. If so, GWSL has the right to charge 100% of the transfer price.
Surf Lessons Policy
The exact timing when surf lessons take place from Monday to Friday mornings depend on weather and wave conditions and are decided by the responsible surfing instructor and announced in advance. Nature is out of our control and we can never guarantee ideal surfing conditions. Nevertheless we dedicate us to find the most suitable location for the surf group. Should the surf lesson be cancelled, due to dangerous or insufficient wave conditions, GWSL will organize an alternative activity to replace surfing. If you are expected for surf classes and you do not show up, GWSL will not make any refund. Clients are required to follow the instructions of the teacher and safety rules.
Consider to sign in for the optional surf material insurance. That covers damage of the board and wetsuit. Otherwise you are responsible for your surf equipment and GWSL will charge you for reparation costs of damage after your usage.
Sports Insurance
GWSL provides an included sports accident insurance that covers accidents that may happen during our surf classes and transportation on vehicles belonging to GWSL. To be covered for any other incident we recommend to be in possess of a private travel health insurance.
Privacy Policy
GWSL guarantees that personal information is exclusively for company purpose. We will not share or give it to any third party. GWSL holds the right however to use it for our newsletters, which you can cancel to receive at any time.
