The sessions take place at our beginner-friendly virgin homespot Furadouro, wild beaches of Maceda, mellow golden waves of Cortegaça, funny beach breaks of Esmoriz or the famous long right handers of Espinho. Golden Waves offers a holistic surf experience. Nestled between endless beaches, the Nature Park of Maceda Pine Forest and the preserved Lagoon Ria de Aveiro, we are embraced by Nature and Ocean.
Surf Instructors
Our instructors are experienced locals and very talented surfers with certificates from the Portuguese Surf Federation. They know the best spots and love to share their stoke with you. A lot of waves we enjoy are secret spots and not easy to find on your own. Trust our guides, lean back in our comfortable Volkswagen surf vans and let us do the wave search for you.
Surf Conditions
Portugal is blessed with all year round surfing, pleasant water temperatures and 300 days of sunshine a year. Surf for every level, from perfect peelers to powerful tubes. The Lodge is perfect for surfers because it is just a short walk to the spot Praia da Furadouro and a great base for exploring excellent spots around. Within a stretch of 15 km coastline, you will find more than 25 waves to be ridden. Depending on the swell and wind directions, there is always an option.
Even the National Competitions take place at our blue flag beaches.
Miguel is a local Portuguese surfer and surf coach with a deep connection to the ocean and nature. Growing up surrounded by surf culture, he has spent years exploring the coastline and developing a strong understanding of local conditions. With a kind, patient, and easygoing approach, Miguel creates a welcoming atmosphere where surfers of all levels can feel comfortable, build confidence, and enjoy the learning process. Known for his positive energy, natural sense of humor, and genuine passion for sharing his love for the ocean, he makes every surf session both fun and meaningful. For Miguel, surfing is not just about progression—it’s about connection, confidence, and enjoying every moment in the water.
Angelo is an ISA Level 2 surf coach from Italy with over 20 years of surfing experience and several years of international coaching. Having worked in Portugal and organized surf camps in Morocco since 2022, he brings a strong technical background together with a relaxed and supportive coaching style. His focus is on helping surfers build confidence in the ocean, improve their technique, and enjoy the learning process at every level. Passionate about surfing, travel, and ocean lifestyle, Angelo loves sharing his knowledge and creating meaningful experiences in and out of the water. 🤙🏽

Our instructors provide safety, individual learning progress and fun. We don’t stop the time to end the sessions and always take you to the best working surf spots. Only the best material guaranteed to ensure maximum pleasure.
