Jump on a moliceiro and cross the river channels, watch the art nouveau houses and try ovos moles. From there you can visit the Farol da Barra and the colorful painted houses of Costa Nova. Visit the market and discover pristine beaches. Don’t leave us without having experienced this special place. The train from Ovar takes you to Aveiro in 20 minutes.

One of the best places to see colourful tiles and the nation wide famous carnaval. An open air gallery of traditional Portuguese art. Not to mention the incredibly delicious Pão-de-Ló, a temptation for everybody with a sweet tooth. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings local farmers present their best products on the market. Just 10 minutes by bike from the lodge!

Furadouro is a lively seaside village with a charming historic centre. You will find superb local restaurants that serve Portuguese and international dishes for great prices. Cosy cafés, fancy beach bars, delicious ice cream parlors, shopping, supermarkets with local vegetables and fruit, bakeries, butchers, fish shops, ATMs and sparkling nightlife. In the summer artists play music, activities take place and local stalls sell delicious homemade sweets. It is all just a stone’s throw away.
